03/26/2024 Position Summary The Human Resource Generalist will serve as a strategic partner to the organization, providing comprehensive HR support across multiple domains.
Responsibilities encompass not only traditional functions like benefits administration, workers' compensation, and FMLA coordination but also extend to managing social media and job recruitment platforms, overseeing employee relations, processing timecards, facilitating training and development initiatives, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and craft comprehensive job descriptions.
Maintain an accurate and updated applicant tracking system, ensuring all candidate data is current and precise.
Conduct thorough reference checks and background investigations as necessary to ensure candidate suitability.
Ensure strict adherence to local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
Offer expert guidance and support to both managers and employees on various HR-related matters, including but not limited to employee relations, performance management, and training and development.
Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to foster a compliant and productive work environment.
Facilitate smooth employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a positive experience for all parties involved.
Spearhead employee engagement initiatives, including the coordination and execution of surveys and focus groups to gauge organizational morale and satisfaction.
Oversee the management of Worker's Compensation claims and FMLA administration, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and providing support to employees as needed.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in HR and recruitment to continuously enhance organizational processes and strategies.
Manage the timely and accurate processing of time cards, maintaining precise records of employee attendance and hours worked Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Minimum of 1 year of experience in Human Resource Bachelor's degree in Human Resource or Business Administration is preferred, but not required Knowledge of employment laws and regulations Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others Experience with applicant tracking systems and other HR technology platforms Bilingual (Spanish Preferred) Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
