30P Full-time Monday through Friday.
Medicare Compliance Coordinator Bethesda Service Center - Pt Accounts High School Graduate; Associates Degree (Accounting, Business, Computer Science) preferred.
Five years healthcare experience in a hospital Business Office setting or in a similar field.
Working knowledge of Medicare regulations required.
Working knowledge of computerized billing systems.
Monitors all Medicare regulations, distributes to appropriate departments, reviews all bills submitted to Medicare and makes corrections as necessary to ensure compliance with regulations.
Process bills through the Medicare compliance system to identify errors.
Monitors rejections from Medicare to determine appropriate actions necessary by Department Director or billing department.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
