Overview
The Admissions Nurse is responsible for providing nursing assessments at the time of patient admission. He/she obtains vital signs and medical history from each patient and assists the admissions staff in assigning the patient to a room and obtaining appropriate signatures and consents to admit the patient.
Responsibilities
Initiates and completes initial nursing assessment at time of patient admission
Meets and greets each new patient upon admission to the facility
Communicates significant clinical data and obtains physicians orders for admission upon patient's arrival
Reviews, explains and obtains patient signature on all admissions paperwork
Obtains necessary consents, identifications and financial documents needed to admit patient into the program
Assists the Admissions staff with luggage search
Assists in the search of patient's person for any contraband
Obtains the patient's vital signs and medical history upon admission
Completes the initial intake demographic assessment process portion of the Integrated Assessment for prospective admissions
Performs floor, room and bed assignment for the patient
Qualifications
One year experience with chemical dependency, psychiatric, detox, medical/surgical nursing and/or dual diagnosis substance abuse programs REQUIRED!
Maintains active Florida RN License
Maintains current BLS certification
The Watershed is Joint Commission accredited and fully licensed by the State of Florida.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
